Plant breeding & genetics: experts suggest changes in curricula
The Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa University of Agriculture, Peshawar held a three-day meeting on “The National Curriculum Revision Committee in Plant Breeding and Genetics.”
Experts from 12 universities of all over the country participated and suggested necessary changes/recommendations in the existing national curricula of plant breeding and genetics.
Professor Dr Hidayat-ur-Rehman of University of Agriculture, Peshawar acted as Convenor while Professor Dr Kausar Nawaz Shah of Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi acted as Secretary of the national curriculum revision of the committee.
Professor Dr Muhammad Afzal, Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Peshawar welcomed the participants and appreciated their efforts for making recommendations for the advancement of the curriculum of the plant breeding and genetics.
He stated that University of Agriculture, Peshawar committed to provide the latest education in the field of agriculture.
