Flood water in SwatRiver on Thursday washed away part of Kanjo Ayub bridge. The water level in SwatRiver is rising with the rise in temperature and the river is in medium flood.
Local sources said that flow of water was increasing gradually and it was feared that the remaining part of Kanju Ayub bridge would also be washed away.
According to details, 30,000 cusecs of flood water was passing through the river and the flood water had washed away part of Kanjo Ayub bridge, cutting road links of tehsil Mata and tehsil Kabal from Swat.
The population of the cut off-areas had to face severe problems as they had to travel miles to take alternate routes to reach the main city.
The people of affected areas demanded the provincial government to provide with immediate relief.
